Tdm) Now that Zsnes is almost finished (yeah, it lacks some compatibility, but I think you'll fix it in a short time) what  are you going to do? I mean, after Zsnes, we'll see another emulator  from ZSknight and _Demo_?

ZSKnight) I have no idea at the moment. But I kinda doubt zsnes will become a finished product soon because there are still lots of stuff left to do.

Tdm) What do you think about shareware emulators? I mean, in your opinion is it right to pay for an emulator?

ZSKnight) I believe it's totally up to the author. I'd say it's really no surprise that people will charge for emulators, especially when they're definitely not easy to make, even a simplistic console such as a gameboy.

Tdm) And what about Project Unreality, PSEmu and other 32/64 bit console emulators?

ZSKnight) I'd say they're doing a very good job on writing an emulator for those next generation consoles which are quite hard to emulate due to a lack of information.

Tdm) Tell me something more about ZsKnight. Wich kind of games do you prefer, what’s your background?

ZSKnight) The games I'd prefer are RPGs, action and puzzle games. For my background, I've started coding about 11 years ago and right now, I'm currently enrolled in a university studying in the field of computer science.

Tdm) And what you do in your spare team, what are your hobbies (If you can  tell us them, obviously :-)?

ZSKnight) Well. I tend to enjoy playing video games and also programming, especially working on zsnes. I guess someday, I'll have to try to change myself to start exercising =)

Tdm) What do you think about the present situation of the emulation scene?

ZSKnight) From an emulation point of view, I'd say it's very good since almost all of the popular classic consoles are emulated. From a user point of view, it gets kinda scary since I've encountered quite some people who takesemulation more like a gimme free software attitude but other than that, there are a lot of great people.

Tdm ) What do you think about the world of emulation in the next future?  1997 has been a great year for emulation, but can we hope in an even  better 1998?

ZSKnight) I don't necessarily see 1998 to be much better than 1997. I'm expecting to see the advanced emulators (N64, PSX) to advance and some new stuff to be emulated (arcades, maybe Neo Geo). However, I also see more people with those gimme attitudes come in and probabily even some serious actions from companies such a Nintendo.

Tdm) In the second half of 1997, with the arrive of success, emu scene has somehow changed. Now it's better or worse, in your opinion?

ZSKnight) I'd say halfway in between.

Tdm) And what do you think about the attitude of some companies as Nintendo about emulation?

ZSKnight) I don't necessarily like their attitude, but it's quite understandable to see them protect their own product. But then, I sure hope they don't start attacking us.

Tdm) To whom was initially aimed the Zsnes emulator? (I mean, to wich  kind of player?) And what was the purpose of the development of such an emulator?

ZSKnight) Initially, it wasn't aimed at anyone. The main purpose of the development was only for the challenge to see how far we can get in emulating the snes so we could have just kept zsnes privately. But I guess that's a little unfair to the public, don't you think so?

Tdm) What do you think about the actual PC and console’s scene?

ZSKnight) I think they're going pretty good. I did have countless hours enjoying my N64 and PC. But I guess many games are kinda going towards concentrating on the flashy graphics side since they sell more, but I'm sure there are also games that also concentrate on gameplay.

Tdm) Thank you for your attention!

ZSKnight) No problem!
